One should more often press the Setup button. There is a lot to find.
Senny:
You could work with scenes. Make one show where all your IP8 Settings are safed in a scene.
Import the scene through the scene manager into the show you need it. Recall the scene with the Global Safes on, except for the controller settings.

WHere are you located?
Here in Germany I got one for 350€. Made by the local case builder.

I have no problem with it. I use the wheel to scroll in and out and click and swipe to navigate.

It would be great to use one of the channel inserts for a standard compressor.
Hold the CTRL button and the resolution gets finer.
As a workaround you can patch the IEM output to the PA for the virtual soundcheck.
On that way I use the dLive as a studio desk.

From the hard logic, there is nothing to meter in a DCA group. It is a multiplier of the assigned channels. Shure you can calculate something like X32 does.
To minimize the number of faders with two kicks and two snare mics I use ganging (only fader active). Maybe a combination of groups and ganging can help you.

I have a mouse which can change the sensetivity. The minimum increment is 43cm. When I hold the ctrl button it is 5cm. It does not change with a different mouse setting.

On Director, if you push the Ctrl-Button it gets less coarse. Don’t know what button it would be on the surface.

This is already implemented. You can send custom Midi commands from any IP8 button.

Hi
About the high battery drain:
I discovered that the CPU workload drops when Director runs in two separate windows. On my laptop with i5 CPU the workload drops from 30% to 4% when i enable the windowed mode. The same happened on another PC.
Does anybody had similar experience?

Found it. The error was in front of the desk 😉
“AMM Input to PFL source select” was Post Preamp. So under the headphone the EQ wasn’t working, but otherwise it was working.

To avoid this predicament I use always the same channels for a instrument.
Since my iLive times I have the following pattern:
1 – 16 Drums and percussion
17/18 Bass
19/20 Gtr
21-24 Keys
25-30 Vocals
31/32 CD
That covers 90% of my jobs and and patching additional instruments is a no brainer and I don’t have to move channels around.
