Jim this is absolutely possible and I used this on a daily basis w/ large 30-40 input shows 🙂

It takes a bit of setup and some practice but it can work.

You need to set up your scene to change only the Strip Assign. Meaning that everything else is safe and is untouched.

    I have Scene 1: I/O Dump
    – It’s all channels spilled across the 6 layers. Inputs / Outputs, Groups, the works.
Scene one is triggered by a softkey
I can then call Scene 2: Show
    – This loads the channels in the way I want them organized and displayed.

I can now go between Scene 1 & Scene 2

Save this as a show. Now mid set I can dive between my show scene and the I/O Dump scene without affecting any of the processing, faders, sends, or anything other than the strip assign.

I even go one step further and have scene that acts as an “FX Spill” that shows all the channels I know are assigned to an FX Send.

I do this via the tablet:

Load up the SQ MixPad App
Create a new softkey that is assigned to DCA Spill to Faders.
    Now tap that softkey once
Press Select on DCA Channel via the CONSOLE and it will spill onto console layer.
Once above is successful you can unpatch that softkey command and it will retain that setting through power cycles / scenes.

+1 for some additional color options.

I have a small show w/ 20 inputs but 11 outputs: 3 wedges, 3 IEMs, 18 input channels 2 utility / speciality channels, LR / Sub, Broadcast. I would really love to have some additional colors and just a little smarter text / UI display. EX: If you know black text on a dark blue background won’t work. Don’t make that an option. Putting white text on those dark backgrounds would be a huge win.

Not all of us have 20-20 eyesight anymore and some of us keep misplacing our glasses on the line arrays or the drum riser XD

+1 for this. I know it’s a tight spot to fit things on that screen but it would be worth it

    Yes!

60% of my shows are remote / tablet operations. So I’m not actually at the console a good amount of the time. I would love to be able to accept MIDI Clock over Ethernet from the drums. That can feed into a MIDI Sequencer to send my desired Global Tap Tempo.
