    Thank You, Alex.

I am using the Kingston technology 16GB SE9 G2 USB 3.0 It was recommended to me as one that A & H uses as a favorite. I don’t remember if that recommendation came directly from someone at A & H or from my salesperson at Sweetwater. Either way, this model is mostly working but, of course, any glitches could be very frustrating at certain times. It’s one thing to have to do a re-take at home in practice and something entirely more frustrating to have an error while recording a performance. So, do you have a favorite flash drive to recommend?

Thank You. I do not yet have a DAW program on my computer and have never used one. Any recommendations for the easiest to use?

I am the new owner of the QU-16 (new to the digital world, too) and I have just now started to record and playback, e-mail wav file attachments, etc. My problem is the same as the originator of this post, Relapse808: when I playback the take from the stick still plugged into the board, the volume is the same as the live recorded volume in the room. When I pull the stick and insert and play it on my laptop, the volume comes out very low, so low that I have to max out all the settings that may effect volume just to reasonably hear it. I read the posts about routing to a matrix mix, etc. The QU-16 does not have the matrix functions. I was thinking there should be some kind of gain control to the record function but there isn’t. But then, that would make the playback from the board way too loud anyway, I suppose. any ideas anybody?

Thanks Steffen, yes that helps. Ya, I agree, the manual is precise, and I like precision. What is really going on is my lack of experience in this world and the assumptions of knowledge in the reader that may have been made when the manual was being written. I have had several digital multi-effects pedals and they had very mild learning curves, for me, compared to this machine. I am glad I got it but after several hours of pouring over the manual I have yet to be at the point of running a song through it. I guess all of this CoronaVirus down-time from life outside the home is one silver lining. 🙂
