Just downloaded this, very interesting.
Cost £5.99 but most probably worth it:)2023/11/04 at 1:11 pm #116289AnonymousInactiveTks for sharing the info.
2023/11/04 at 1:40 pm #116290BigMervParticipantCustom layouts. IDCA. Niiice!
2023/11/04 at 2:01 pm #116293robbocurryParticipantCool!
I do prefer QU-mix to this but it’s good to have. Hopefully the CQ app will have same status after some tweaks!2023/11/04 at 2:12 pm #116294robbocurryParticipantMaybe if someone gets a nice layout with mute group buttons, tap tempo etc, they’d be kind enough to upload it? I don’t have the patience or skill to ever get Mixing Station the way I want it!🤯
2023/11/04 at 3:49 pm #116296AnonymousInactiveHave not used the app before but just downloaded and paid. The DCA function, DCA spill, and custom layouts looks like it will make mixing much faster. The built in midi support will allow something like an X-Touch control surface to control the CQ via an iPad or laptop. Pretty slick.
2023/11/05 at 7:56 am #116301AnonymousInactiveOnly if I am missing something, I can’t get DCA or mute group to work…

No expert on MS but this is how I got DCA working:
In settings/layer hit the “+” to add a new layer.
It’ll show a screen where you add what you want channel wise.
On that same page hit the “+” again and add IDCA.
Then you’ll have a screen to add the channels you want on that IDCA.
If you hit the IDCA button on the top of that screen you’ll be able to rename it.
Skip back now to main mixer view and select your new layer on the right hand side where you see “Fine, Mix, FX send” etc.
Now you’ll find the IDCA slider and it’ll be linked to the channel selection.
If you touch the top of the IDCA tab you’ll bring up the allocation page again where you can edit your selection!
Hope that helps!
Haven’t set up mute groups yet!2023/11/05 at 11:05 pm #116313BigMervParticipantSorry just to clarify, to edit your DCA selection:

I know what he means. Must see if I can add stand alone mute buttons for this purpose.
I should have asked about media play/rec controls as I don’t see them on this first version either or have I missed it??2023/11/06 at 8:54 am #116320AnonymousInactiveYep, work just fine, many tks.
2023/11/06 at 9:40 am #116322AnonymousInactiveTrim for USB is not present also.
2023/11/06 at 9:55 am #116325AnonymousInactiveYes, I cannot see any possibilities to add media player controls also.
Note that the color for OUT and MAIN can be edited now.2023/11/06 at 12:09 pm #116330BigMervParticipantI was able to create custom “mute groups” by creating a button then assigning multiple instances of channels, then channel mute (mute inverted).
This allowed me to create FX mute, monitor mute and vocal mutes.
It’s very flexible but because of that it’s a bit fiddly.Apologies to Keith @ A&H – I hope you don’t mind me posting about MS here!?
2023/11/07 at 12:36 am #116350robbocurryParticipantGot it working pretty sweet now – used it for a livestream tonight.
Quite a difference having 95% of what I need on the one page!
BTW – uploaded a couple of my layouts to the MS website, they might be a handy starting point for someone? Feel free to improve them please!!😃Having taken a few hours trying to figure out MS’s idiosyncrasies I’m definitely understanding and liking it a lot more than I did.
