Lishinsky, All the levels and mutes (and more) in the system are available via the MIDI, so you can map a controller to these – please see the MIDI spec documentation the A&H web-site.

    Art,

There is nothing wrong with the set-up you describe, so AFAIK it is supported.

You can update your DM64 firmware by using the HTTP interface (“point” a Web browser at your MixRack).

    Hi timtrace,

Are you connecting via the public Internet? The documentation was written from the perspective of connecting via the Internet, and so there is no point in opening the UDP51320 port as the broadcasts wouldn’t get routed anyway.

The UDP51320 broadcasts are use to discover iLive (and other A&H devices) on the local sub-net, and the replies to these are used to list the units available. If connecting via the Internet then this is normally done by typing the IP Addr of the router that is set to port-forward to the iLive. If you have a firewall on your local sub-net then it may be worth opening up port 51320 as well to get the above functionality.

RB – please make contact with technical support for this. Send them your event logs, at what console-time the freeze occurred, and what you were doing at the time of the freeze.

It was possible to have a freeze in V1.30 by changing the mixer configuration, and then selecting some channels. This is fixed in V1.40.

The LR meters show the PAFL signal. The PAFL signal can be set to be the Main mix when no other PAFL is pressed, but this is configurable. I’d suggest that it a problem in this configuration, please check under “Setup/Audio/PAFL – Mains to PAFL”. If you load up one of the default template shows then these are set-up for you (for the templates with mains). I think if you look at your problem show that the gains will be at -Inf, and that is why you don’t have meters (or audio from the PAFL).

The cross-fade time affects only levels and pans (main levels and sends, main pans and stereo Aux / Matrix pans). So if there any other changes in the scene (Mutes, EQs, FX etc etc) then these get actioned immediately. However, you can arrange them to be actioned at the end of the cross-fade, by using the embedded scene recall function that has an optional delay (and using the recall filters appropriately). You can use this feature to have some channels fading at a different rate to others, ie. 2 scenes with different cross-fade times set-up and filters for the channels which you want to fade at different rates.

Since V1.3 it has been possible to source mix ext-ins from the outputs of other mix channels, so an easier way to achieve separate GEQs is to use 2 mono matrix and source the ext-ins of these from Main L, and Main R.

    Hi Casey,

The current MIDI spec doesn’t allow for this, but I have added it to the request list for consideration in future firmware. It would be helpful if you could describe your application and need for this feature in some more detail. Thanks for your input.

    Hi John,

I think the issue here is that the auto-increment option on the go soft-key does the recall and then increments to the next scene, not the other way around. I have put the request to do “next” and then do the “recall” on the feature request list.

    Hi George,

The patching of inserts, including the internal FX, is the responsibility of the Patchbay, and thus can only be made safe by safe-ing the Patchbay. This is, obviously, not an option for what you are doing, so you will need to add the insert to both of your Dante toggle scenes.
