Hi –
So far, I have 2 different use cases for the cq18.
1. live band – have a show saved and will save versions of that show for different venues we play. Might want to record live using the stereo or the multitrack capabilities to SD card on the CQ
2. audio interface with garage band and recording on the mac.
The manual says “Shows do not include network settings, unit name, stored Bluetooth connections, or USB/SD settings. These are set per unit….”
So, it seems that for recording at gigs, I’d just have to set that configuraton option (easy!), but is it possible to save all the USB channel assignas/settings I would use in the garage band audio interface scenario as a separate show? I’m hoping there’s an easy way to switch back and forth for these use cases?
thanks!
Hi there,
You can indeed store your input assignments in a Show, on a USB storage device. For instance – you could store a show for your recording usage where some of your inputs are sourced from the XLR/Jack ins, and some USB.
Where we say in the manual that USB Settings are stored on the device, that refers to settings like Stream Mode/Source Point/Sample Rate etc, as these are stored on the device itself.
Hope this helps!
