Hello there! First time to this Forum but seems really handy.
For a little bit of background I work at a church as well as an AV installation company where we do more conference room setups, but I have been using allen and heath equipment for years now.
At the church is primarily where I used Allen and heath stuff, so thats why I know certain capasities of the board but not others.
I know with the SQ series you have to buy either an additional card or a console with the card pre-installed to have the console work with Dante, but for the QU32 it says it works with it directly.
What I am trying to achieve is to have 4 Vox inputs ran through Live with Waves Plugin, and then run back to the board and have the fx on the line out. Mainly for slight live autotune and reverb/Decay. I have a macbook pro that would be used to run this off of and the board currently runs into a ubiquiti switch which is accessable to run another cat6 to the macbook. I would additionally like to run the drums inputs through the same loop to run a drum compressor on the kick and snare primarily but also toms.
The only catch is – I am not going to be using this setup every single week. Sometimes I will not have the setup due to my laptop not being there or me personally not being there. And, since I use the laptop for other things, I would need to be able to disconnect the laptop from the setup (preferably just the cat cable) and then set the scene back to the “default” scene with regular FX, and then be able to recall the routed scene for weeks that I am using this setup.
I would like to use this on more than one QU32 with the same fx, and potentially even use it on the sq’s that we have.
Any insight to if this is possible and really simple or completely outside of the bounds of having the system work would be greatly appreciated. I would like to have a little more confidence before I buy the additional plugins that are not returnable.
