    Hi all,

    I need a bit of help regarding I/O for the SQ5.

    Currently we have the SQ5 at the front of house and on stage we have 2 DX168 daisy chained to one another together with a ME-U connected via dante.

    Stage speakers are connected to 2 outs from the DX168.

    SQ5 -> SLink -> DX168 -> DX168
    -> Dante -> ME-U

    We are looking to use outboard gear for up to 6 stereo buses at front of house and connect the local inputs on the SQ5.
    That’s where we’re facing the issue we would run out of local I/O. We’re using 3 inputs for room mics, and 2 local outputs for our local broadcast.

    Would something like a DX012 work for us? Since we’re using a dante card already with the SQ5, we only have the SLink port. Which my hunch is telling me it can’t connect to the DX012 and daisy the 2 DX168s right? SQ -> SLink -> DX012 -> DX168 -> DX168.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    in SQ Resources you can find the
    SLink Connections document.

    So with a DX Hub you can add the DX012.

    Or if you have spare output channels on your Dante card you could use Dante devices like DT168, DT02 or from other manufacturers.

    The SQ5 has 23 local inputs and 16 local outputs.

    Remember the stereo ins and the AES out.
