Hi guys,
I’m touring with a tribute show consisting 4 singers on IEMs and a 4 piece band on ME1s. For 2 gigs in a row now I experienced an issue having the mixes going to the IEMs randomly changing its settings. Soundcheck and 1st set all fine and then suddenly in the 2nd set all the mixes going bonkers! ME1s seem not to be affected. I have a router plugged in the desk. I used to run the show with floor monitors for a number of shows before the IEMs and didn’t seem to have problems.
Have anyone experienced anything like that?
ps:
Router is pasword protected.
Singers haven’t swapped beltpacks by mistake.
I don’t use different presets for the different sets.
Thanks in advance 👍
.
A&H SQ5 (latest firmware)
2 x AB168 Stage boxes
2 x Sennheiser G4 IEM Twin (ch38) – 2 x mono mixes per stereo transmitter
4 x Sennheiser G4 Bodypack Receivers (ch38) – in mono mode
4 x Sennheiser EW145 G3 Radio mics (ch38)
Are you recalling any previously stored scenes?
I have had a similar issue on a GLD system that turned out to be a problem with the router causing lag. Make sure that you are using a higher end router, and also hide the SSID so that the people’s phones from the audience aren’t pinging your wireless which does slow it down when there are a lot of them.
Hi @jdpro ,
We are not aware of mixes changing randomly before. In every case I’ve seen, there has always been some sort of external control that’s affected things.
A few questions that may help figure out what’s going on:
How have the mixes changed?
Is anyone using the SQ apps to control their mix?
Is there anything else connected to the router?
Are you feeding the IEM’s from Pre-Fade auxes?
If so, where is your tap-off point for the aux?
What physical connections are you using for the connection to the two transmitters?
Where are these patched from?
Are you able to send us a show file?
