I use scene recalls with filters to swap out soft rotaries. Trouble is that the only available scene save soft key is save current, which will overwrite my rotary scenes. I’d like a soft key to save to scene 1.

all settings are saved to a scene… the only difference is at the recall side…

Yes, I know. How is that relevant to this feature request?

As often happens, with SteffenR’s lack of native English, he makes mistakes, perhaps by reading too fast,
which is nicer than saying other things about his comments, which might be more accurate.

Mistakes? His comment is absolutely correct. I was just asking how it relates.

I tried to make clear that nothing in the recall safes avoids any storage…

    What is exactly your request?

He is wanting a soft key to be able to be setup to save to
specific scene number slot so when ever you hit that soft key
it automatically will save/over right to a scene number that
    you have set it to.

I could kind of see in the right setting that being handy.

I think he is talking about a possible action (control type) for the soft keys. Currently you can load a stored scene via a soft key, e.g load scene 1, but you can only activate the saving of the current scene but not to a different, fixed, one.
As far as I understand the desired workflow he wants to do something like

Load scene 1 which holds the whole setup for the band, loading without any recall safes.
Then use scene 2 up to 10 to load different settings of the soft rotaries (all except the soft rotaries aro on recall safe for that scenes).
Now he changes something on the setup and he wants to save it to scene 1 so, that he can use this scene to get back these last setting for the given band. But saving it to current it will be saved to one of the scenes 2 to 10, and this is not desired.

Exactly that. During a show, I want to save on the fly, always to scene 1. After the show, I would archive that to another scene. No chance of overwriting anything important.

you can safe to the current scene with a soft key
and I know it’s not what you requested 😉

on the dLive is a key available that saves always a new scene
since the SQ has no dedicated scene area with buttons, this has to be implemented with softkeys
so indeed there needs to be more functionality…

Someone should post a feature request.

This was an entertaining read. @nottooloud I totally agree and I use the scene recalls in the same way and would also love a button to store to a specific scene.

    a massive +1
