It would rock to have an RTA analyzer overlay on the EQ for each channel. It would be great to have a bass amp emulator and a dialogue mixer. We do some elements where an auto dialogue mixer (like the Dan Dugan Automixer) would help our workflow.
The visualization module of the RTA is that of the Ilive.
It does not live up to the quality of the graphics of the Dlive !!! .
Could we have some more “modern” things like the RTA of the Yamaha CL5 or that of the PRO2 Midas, finally a trick like the picture attached.
+1 on the RTA & better graphics.
– 12 band or better per octave (the picture looks better than that)
– Peak decay
– Option for spectrum/waterfall display (X32)
– Overlay on EQ display or full EQ display on lower section of left screen
I agree with the RTA request. I had an in house demo of the dLive last week (and purchased a s7000 after the demo). The per-input RTA overlay on EQs is the one feature I could think of that I will miss from the CL5 we are departing from.
I was told that the auto-mixer is in the works and maybe to expect it by summer.
I also agree on the RTA/EQ overlap. I see people requesting this feature all the time on pretty much every series of Allen & Heath mixer. I think it might be a lost cause.
Also a question for you tpaulding. I’ve been going back and forth between a QL5 and dLive (c series). Are you happy switching from a Yamaha? The RTA is the one thing that makes me lean more towards the Yamaha.
RTA/EQ Overlap was one of my suggestions for the iLive in 2009 😉
the idea comes from a design study for the mixingdesk EAW UM96 which was never built. the idea is really helpful and was implemented meanwhile also by other manufacturers.
+1 on the RTA overlay on EQ visual. *please*
Have we forgotten how to use our ears???
We are talking just about an improvement of the visual of the existing RTA .
For the ears this is another debate …

jf
visual feedback helps always…
+1 – could make things easier
+ many voices for RTA overlay on the EQ for each channel, this really speeds up the work
