Have you gone back into the CQ and checked your audio settings? Firmware updates will routinely change/reset different settings. It’s quite possible that something in the audio settings got changed in the update and is preventing the system from working as expected.
I’ve never used a CQ myself, but I know on the other A&H systems there is a warning screen when doing a firmware update that tells users to save a SHOW file prior to the update along with instructions to reload that SHOW file after the update to ensure all the settings are “put back to the way you expect”. That’s not the wording the warning uses, but my own interpretation of it.
