music cutting out when talking sq6

i am having trouble when doing a show the music that the act are using will go quieter when they start singing i have checked and the ducker unit is not on and i have checked routing and nothing is routed through the ducker mix

The ducker is not the only way to achieve such an effect.

Check the music/playback channel’s compressor:
Does it have the side chain active?
That way the side chain’s source channel (probably one of your mics or a mic group)
would trigger (=”make quieter”) the music channel’s compressor.
Set the source back to ‘self keyed’.

If you can’t find the reason, save your scene/show and just start from scratch with ‘reset mix settings’.
