The information Dick gave you seems to be directed at standard USB cables, not the optical cable you have in mind.

Even with standard USB cables, the maximum lengths given in the specs is designed to work in most applications but can be exceeded in some situations and still work.

As for the cable you suggested, the same thing probably applies, but they are spec’d as working out to 50 Meters. A 15-meter cable should work for you. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean they will work for every application – the descriptions states “Works with MOST USB 3.0 and 2.0 Devices.” These cables are new enough that you may not be able to easily find the information you need to see if they will work your Qpac. Note that these optical cables do not carry power – only works with self-powered devices.

Contact the vendor tech support or the manufacturer. They will probably say – “What’s a Qpac?” So that means you may have to just try one and ask the vendor if you can return it. Buy from Amazon – they will take it back if it doesn’t work.

It would be handy to know what is being connected and why.
