Is anyone using AVLINUX w/ the Qu Mixer series

I have installed AVLINUX and I was wondering if anyone is using AVLINUX (Ardour) is like Pro Tools.
I know some engineers that use AVLINUX and they say that the tools for sound in Ardour are better or just as good as Pro Tools But FREE

I think that I will switch over to KX Studio this Saturday do to that AVLinux has stop supporting any more development

judging by the age of this thread I’m going to assume you already made the switch but just in case you haven’t ot someone finds this, I use KXStudio with ardour and it works brilliantly. I record full multitrack of every channel of my QU-24 into an old core 2 duo system and even that handles it well. I’m typing this while on a break from mixing something I recorded last sunday on the system. the only thing I have trouble with is getting midi fader control in ardour as mute buttons work fine but fader controls don’t
