Hi everybody,
first of all thx to Markus Sinsel for the inspiring discussion!
Here´s my first problem question on using the software.
I couldn´t find any menu for doing PAN´s!
Please, can someone help me out?
Hey soundguy.
You will find pan control for all busses in routing screen of the selected channel. It is definitely not obvious, but right above the level rotary for any stereo buss there is a pan control. Click on it and drag to alter panning. I’m struggeling to understand how that will work with any thing else than a mouse or possibly a very accurate stylus.
I can’t say I have found any othe option yet for pan in director.
Ok thx,
found it.
That´s far from comfortable :-/
I even didn´t expect, that the parameter is possible to change in that screen!
I´m sure that´s going to be updated!
Seriously… When will this be adressed?! It is so basic, you need to make it a more easily accessible feature 🙂
Guys, right click on encoder
@andyhellyeah
this was on an old director version…
What’s the MacOS equivalent of “right click” these days?
What’s the MacOS equivalent of “right click” these days?
Hmm, right click it is?
And seriously, if you happen to have one of these old one-button mice that are not produced for more then 15 years now, it is still ctrl-click. Nothing changed in that respect.
Actually, it seems that having a pan knob displayed in the pre-amp and trim area would be great. It’s cool “as is” because it seems like an airplane gauge or something and of course you can see the LCD display when that encoder is selected but panning is ultimately one of the most basic functions. It deserves a bigger spot.
Works on both, Director 1.90 and 1.91, on my Macbook Air M1 running Big Sur.
the Pan position and the Polarity really should be displayed on the overview page in the processing window.
