I just got this mixer and it’s my first mixer, digital or otherwise. For now, I’m connecting my IEMs into the headphone jack through a 1/4” TRS to 1/8” TRS adapter.

I can’t get a stereo sound out of this output. To clearly replicate the issue, I can just pan any one of my 6 microphones to the right and it’ll completely disappear from my ears.

I’m willing to bet I’ve missed a setting. Could I please get some help with this?

Also, is there any reason why I shouldn’t feed my IEMs from the headphone jack?

    Thanks!

First try another adapter or a headphone with 1/4″ stereo jack.

I agree, check your adaptor, first. One thing the surprises me is that so many manufacturers still fit 6.35mm/1/4” headphone sockets only. Even high quality, so called professional headphones have the smaller 3.5mm stereo socket.

If your headphones have a detachable cable, try a cable with the larger plug on the far end.

You do not say where you are from but a new cable may be the way to go.

Are you even sure that your IEM transmitter has a stereo input and not only two separate mono inputs and if so, maybe it is not set to stereo?

Resolved: the TRS adapter was cheap and faulty! Easy.

Now on to the next problem; I’ll start a new thread…
