Question, I want to buy a good pair of headphones for my SQ5, I now have a Beyerdynamic DT 770 32 ohm, but I miss the power, I have to give a lot of volume, but it still sounds quite thin! If I plug the same into my Behringer Wing I get the right sound! In short, which headphones are suitable for the SQ5? how many ohms is the headphone ampliļ¬er?

Most of us are not aware of the fact that we are conditioned to expect a lower limit of HZ scale delivery with older or less scale responsive gear. I remember very well the old AM radio I had in my first car in 1957: Chuck Berry, Elvis and Buddy Holly sounded great with the bass rolled, counterclockwise, all the way over to the left. The big mono delivery of most everything under 5K HZ sounded great until we were re-programed to FM stereo broadcasting that approached 12K HZ delivery. IMO the SQ5 is delivering a true High HZ spectrum and to double check my theory dial in the low pass filter to eliminate the upper HZ output above 7or8K and see if you find that partial delivery of the full HZ spectrum closer to your sweet spot listing preference.

    Regarding the OP’s question:
I use Sennheiser HD-25 II, they sound excellent (..to me) and are more than sufficient even at FOH.
SQ’s tech specs should be in the manual.

A good tip on headphones for FOH use are the Audio Technica ATH-M50X or ATH-M60X.
I use both on a regular basis and don’t use my Beyers on the road anymore.
