I would really like to see almost all the software options that XR18 mixer has on my CQ20B mixer. I don’t think this is a big request considering the age of XR18 and CQ’s processing capabilities. These include:

    – Having more flexibility for effects (HP, LP) and not just the simple version of it.
    – Ability to tap output signals from anywhere in the chain (pre-eq, post-eq, post-comp,…)
    – MULTIBAND COMPRESSION! Why CQ doesn’t have a multiband compression?
    – DeEsser! Why CQ doesn’t have a DeEsser?

In answer to your last two suggestions, both of those have to be bought as add ones for SQ and Avantis, it is highly unlikely you will get them included in CQ.

+1 on more options on the output pickoff points

    +1 stand alone channel deessers

+1 for multiband compression or dynamic EQ available on at least on outputs and subgroups if those are added. However, I would really love to have even just a few bands of dynamic eq available to use at channel level. Such an invaluable tool where it can work way better more narrowly focused and allow for way less aggressive approach vs trying to get more aggressive with static eq or full band compression which can cause other unwanted impacts.

+1 Some other features on xr series (and some other mixers) that come to mind that would be great to add on CQ are
    1) Mix/blend knobs on the compressors
    2) Key filter options on gates (though even better would be option for a primary source expander/enhancer inspired mode on the channel gates.
    3) Update to 6 Band parametric EQ vs 4 band on outputs on CQ. But even Adding stand alone HPF and LPF and keeping 4 bands of parametric would be an improvement.

QSC touchmix mixers on outputs have 6 band fully parametric plus hpf and lpf filters and they also have 31 band eq on each output as well. CQ can switch to a 31 band eq but then you give up the parametric and FBX section. I tend to use parametric 1st anyways so having enough options there seems higher priority. However, also being able to access 31 band eq on outputs as well wouldn’t be bad thing to have. Could could have it hidden in default mode but option to enable it so those that want to utilize can.
