Hi Guys,
I’m currently running a SQ5 for wired in-ear-monitoring in the studio. I recently read an article which states, that connecting pin 1 and 3 of the balanced output on my SQ5 is bad practice and should not be done. My adapters were wired like that. Acourding to this article it would kill one of the OPs in the long run.
How can I check if I already killed one of the op-amps ? I connected an oscilloscope to the loaded (47k) balanced output and got slightly different levels (-10mV) from Pin 2 and Pin 3. Is this behaviour normal ?
What about A/B-out ? Can I safely connect a 2x TS (unbalanced) to TRS (balanced) adapter ?
Are the outputs of the SQ cross-coupled ?
Thanks,
Michael
