these are the most needed ones
– Matrix Busses
– HP/LP on Mixes and Busses
– Q on Low and High should switch between Bell, Shelf, Filter
– a de-esser would be helpful as well
Is this a Christmas wish?
I was in a scenario the other day I wished for a de-sser..
I think I have only ever had the need about 3 times in my career to want a de-esser.
Does the GLD have a de-esser?
And a matrix bus… where would you output that?
I mean I’m in for as much as you can give with bells and whistles
Yes on the GLD de-esser. I used de-essers a little in my studio days. Both hardware and plugins. I think generally a well designed system shouldn’t need them. Lots of ways to compensate.
Your wishes you can find in the gld.
but I already have an QU-16
it’s always living in my car…
Matrices output via stagebox – easy
Yes Matrix exit via stage box only!
And only editable only on the QU-pad.. brilliant
as there are no fader’s available and no exit ports on the QU16.
Then it would be a very valuable 16 channel mixing desk and people would come for miles around just to buy one !
– HP/LP on Mixes and Busses? Yes Really.. why not make this desk the best it can be? and even more people will want to buy this desk!
– Q on Low and High should switch between Bell, Shelf, Filter: Yes just like the dLive App has as displayed when you log on in here.
I’m sure the guys at A&H can come up with something intelligent – a softy, and lighting 2 of the Mix LEDs to signify a matrix selection.
Of course there is a possible limitation in terms of DSP…
Occasionally I wonder if we couldn’t get another couple of customers layers by the same ‘two LED’ mechanism -> with the top and bottom buttons optionally being “up” and “down”
Hi guys,
You can get to the matrix view screen on Qu by going to the routing pages with a Matrix channel selected, then pressing “Matrix View” on the Fn key. Matrices can be locally routed via the Alt and AES outputs.
Don’t forget you can see all matrix sends from a given mix in the “Matrix Sends” tab of the Mix routing screens, too!

Not on a Qu-16 though!
True, you need matrix channels for that!

Qu-16 is the only Qu that has no matrices
that’s why we want them
