Is it possible to add another mic to the talkback channel? I want to have one of my musicians with a talkback mic. Do I just have to have it as a separate input on the ME1? I know it seems like a simple thing. I just want to make sure. Currently our talkback is channel 16 on our ME-1’s. Can I add another mic to that same channel on their in ears?

    Thanks for your help.

Who has the other talkback mic?

Do the talk back mics have a mute switch?
If there dynamic mics a Y cable would work…..depending on the how the
mute switches (if any) are wired on the mics.

If you have channels and mixes to spare use two channels for talk back, send those to a mix and assign the mix to an ME channel.

Use a cheap small table top mixer to submix the talk back mics.
ART makes a passive transformer iso mic combiner.

So currently the talkback is only on the console. The sound crew has a mic and they can push the talkback button to speak to the musicians. They have to push the button to use the feature. I’m out of inputs on the me-1’s. So doing a new mix I can’t do and get it to their in ear monitors. I was there would be a way to bypass the button while adding another mic to that feature.

In the set up menu the button can be set from momentary to push on push off.

Adding a second mic to the talk back channel you would need and external combiner or mixer. With that I would then get a couple mics that have switches on them.
