Most other digital mixers I’ve encountered tend to peak at clip or -1dBFS. Using -3dBFS as the top LED, labeled peak in this case, makes some sense considering you won’t get inter-sample peaks if you stay below -3dBFS. In fact, I believe they’re pretty difficult to encounter unless you’re up past -2 to -1dBFS, but that’s a healthy margin. This is especially good practice for their proprietary fixed point boards.

Sorry, meant to say “more than one cue selected at a time”, but ran out of editing time.

    for info.
v2.2.3 was a maintainence iteration of v2.2.2. It accommodates an updated screen component used on the mixer.
If your DB4 is running v2.2.3 it’s up to date
If your DB4 is running v2.2.2 it’s also up to date, it’ll just be slightly older hardware than a mixer running 2.2.3
In practical terms, as far as feature set goes, v2.2.2 is the ‘latest’ and v2.2.3 is ‘the same’

Al Crombie Thanks for this. Why the didn’t A&H ever allow us to bypass split cue with more than two cues selected at a time? Burying split cue in the settings without a button was a mistake, but there was a firmware solution. For that matter, the line needs a 3 (4 or more rear channel inputs) & 6 channel version using the dLive kit.

I also think they should add another two models to the DB lineup.

    Good question!

Hopefully they fixed the firmware so that more than one cue selected at a time will bypass split.

Having a selectable internal work sample rate instead of being just fixed at 48khz would be a bonus.
