    Hi Jh3500,

Do you have 18 Matrices in your DSP config ?
You could have 62 Matrices on a dLive system If you have created these in you busconfig.
If the Busses are not created it shows up as a Yellow/Grey striped item when online.
This means the Control object has nothing to control (Bus is not created, Wrongly assigned etc).
DCA’s 1-24 are always there as they are part of the fixed system.

    Hi RunHyper,
Sounds like you are using the channels Mono.
If the keyboard is coming into 2 Mono channels have you panned 1 channel to left and the other to the Right?
If you have both channels panned center (So both channels will send to both left and right) you have a Mono signal on your channel PAFL but both L&R from the keyboard summed to Mono on the LRMix PAFL.

This will probably result in a Thin and very Non “Spatial” sound.

From the Scenes page on the iPad try to press and hold “Reset mix settings”
Then Insert the Keyboard into channel 1 & 2
Pan channel 1 to the Left
Pan channel 2 to the right
    Turn Fader 1 & 2 to 0dB
Listen to the LR mix PAFL.

Users logging in to the console with Custom control or One mix does NOT trigger a scene recall assigned to a specific user.
Logging in on the console DOES recall an assigned scene.
If you do not want this simply do NOT assign a scene recall on login (default is NOT set).

If you have many Custom control and one mix devices (Remember Max 12 OneMix is advised and max 40 TCP/IP connections to the Avantis) it could be you are saturating your WiFi connection. This could result in lag (And musicians moving faders around where they don’t hear any changes) but will be cued and spit out later (TCP/IP).
Use something like Wireshark to check check you network traffic.

Remember that if you are using more then 3/4 devices on a standard Acces point (real time data) most non Professional AP’s will have trouble coping.

Disconnect everything and start a step by step fault finding procedure.
If all is connected and setup correctly you should not have any issues like you are describing.

You can always reach out to your supplier or local distributor to help out.

If you need more then the 40 connections have a look @ the ME system where you can use as many ME devices as you want.
Each ME can create a separate mix for a musician.

The SQ will only take 1 midi connection @ the time.

You can have a look @ the BomeBox to create a redundant link

(Sq will connect to BomeBox and the mac’s will connect thru the Bome network to the Bome Box, Both of them can talk to the SQ).

    Are you using Scene’s?
Do you have (By accident) set a User scene to be recalled @ boot or login? (Setup>Config>User Profiles).

Are there any duplicates of one mix being used (More iPads using the same Aux?).

If it still occurs try to reproduce and send logs + description to support.

You can set the player to be Dual mono and play to audio files to 2 zones.
Actually you can play 3 audio files @ the same time.
    For example
Zone 1> Mono Player 1 (Background)
Zone 2> Mono Player 2 (Background)

Now you can play 1 extra audio file to player 1 or 2.

This gives you the ability to do announcements while there are 2 mono players active

    Hi Richard,

Yes you can control a (sub)Group by a DCA.

A DCA has members which are controlled by that DCA.
A Group has channels assigned that route the audio from those channels to the group (So not members).

To see which channels are assigned to a group simply select a group and press routing next to the touchscreen.
you can also assign channels to a group here (Same for a DCA).

The other method is to press the MIX button of the group and check the channel displays for the “ON” you can toggle on off by press and hold the MIX between the faders and then press the mix of the channels you want to assign.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Ovivian,

There is no stereo link in CC but there is in the dLive.
If you link channel 121/122 in the dLive you can take control over channel 121 or 122 in CC and the channel will follow.

    Hi Brian,

The Network settings are accessible from the user interface:

    Setup>Config>Network.

Here you can change the network settings to your liking.

We indeed do not print the MAC address on the devices.

A simple way to get your MAC address :
Open Putty, Terminal or Command Box, etc

Type: “Ping 192.168.1.80” (Or the IP address of your console which you can find in the GUI).
    (Ctrl-C to stop)
    Type: “arp -a”

Now you will see the MAC address of your mixer (After the Pinged IP address) (And you can easily copy it into your switch text box).

Please understand, we don’t tell you how to setup your network, we only recommend 😉

As the dLive and Avantis are network based mixers they need a network connection to be operational.
If they would not wait for an IP address from a remote server, there would be no room for a DHCP server (A DHCP server takes time to respond (This could be very short but can also take some time) and that’s why there is a time out).
The waiting time right is very short but could get longer if the network has long latency’s.

Again this is not to discuss the correct way to setup network topology/Settings, but to give you information how to obtain what you need.

PS in the US you have great support from American music and sound, so please reach out to them if you need help.
    Hope this helps!

    Hi Brian,

As Steffen is correct, We recommend an fixed IP due to the fact the console waits for an IP dress to boot if set to DHCP.
If the DHCP server is not there or there is an issue It can take longer than normal for the system to boot.

The system also relies on the IP connection for its own operation (Iow if there is a conflict the control side of the console will be interrupted)

If you still want to change the settings you can find it in the manual https://www.allen-heath.com/media/Avantis-Firmware-Reference-Guide-V1.03.pdf page 46.

If you want to default the network settings to factory you can simply unplug the console without doing a proper shutdown.
When you power up the system you will get a menu with “start console” or “Advanced”
Press advanced and you can default the network settings and reboot.

    Hi CfBird,

The Protocol AES/EBU is a standard.
The DB-25 Yamaha or Tascam is a pinout Standard.
So you need a XLR<>DB-25 connector with Yamaha Pinout if you want to make it work.

How to make db25 multicore tascam snake cable

If you have made the connection you have to set the Xilica to sync the word clock from the incoming AES/EBU signal
