The USB sticks and the external hard drive I am using are known to work with the QU16. I have used them for recording and data storage for shows/scenes. So they are not the problem.
GCumbee, there is much discussion on here and other forums regarding suitable/compatible hard drives to use with the QU series mixers. There are quite a few to choose from ..

2014/10/03 at 2:31 pm #41985Yes I have. They are there when I check the USB on my laptop but the QU16 does not see them.
2014/10/02 at 6:16 pm #41954I’d like to download the library too but I am having difficulty.I am using a formatted USB stick that I have used before on the QU16. I re-formatted it and downloaded the library to it online. The console reads the disk, recognizes that there is data there but when I go to USB data, it shows no data.
Can someone help me?? thank you2014/09/22 at 3:06 am #41783Sorry – My bad……read your post too quickly and missed the part in parentheses. Have you tried uninstalling the app and re-installing like LKY suggested? Also try to reinstall the 1.5 firmware in the QU16
2014/09/21 at 1:55 am #41765You have to download the 1.5v qupad software for the iPad. I used the A & H website to access the updated software. I have had to do this for the iPad each time there has been a firmware update on the QU16 as the versions have to match.

2014/05/08 at 9:29 pm #39665I did not think twice about purchasing a UPS as soon as I ordered my QU16. I have heard sudden power outages and then reboots are bad for any digital console along with the loud pop through the speakers caused when the power comes back on. A few hundred dollars is nothing to spend when investing a couple of thousand -is it???
The point of the UPS is not to keep the show going because if the amps are off – no sound anyway – but it is to give you a few minutes to get the amps turned off and then shut down the QU16 properly – no?2014/04/22 at 12:02 am #39234This is all very interesting I have to admit. I feel so bad for those who have had nothing but problems with recording on the QU16. I myself have had great success but I would be very upset if I had gone through these issues. However, this new ‘suggestion’ has definitely got me thinking. I lay my hard drive under the console on foam which again could explain my lack of issues. This video does suggest vibration could be the key. Not sure why the A&H guys haven’t suggested this before???…..It could have saved a lot of frustration and in the case of Prodigio and maybe more, a move to something different. I understand that there are some who have checked out the vibration theory but are still having problems. But knowing about this vibration theory a few months back may have cured the problem for most users…..
2014/03/30 at 5:51 pm #38619I was lucky. I already owned a Western Digital My Passport 1Tb drive WDBABM0010BBK and even though it is NOT shown on the approved list, it works flawlessly.
