Thanks again Scott for your reply.
It turns out my clients SQ5 had not had updates for a few years so it must be that.

I hope you don’t mind me asking this question on this post.
I hired my PA which included a gx4816 stage box which works 100% with my own sq6 and sq5.
However the sound engineer wanted to use his own sq5. No problem , but, when he connected the cat5 the symbol in the top right corner showed it had connected , but the processing did not see gains or send phantom on a his scene.
He said he had his dx168 in his van, and voila, using the same cat5, when we connected to his dx168 all worked.
Can anyone shed any light on why this may have happened. I suspect it is a setting on the desk. ( I could be wrong )

unless you have a specific reason for using a group for your drums, patch the drums to a DCA, they will still be in stereo, and you will have volume control over the whole kit

    Also,
if you leave the PAFL button on (above the mail out fader) , you caan go through all the aux’s and the headphones will give you that aux,, when you go back to L/R the headphones will hear the L\R mix

i found an unused amazon fire 7 tablet which has doing nothing. to my surprise i was able to download both SQ4you app and also the mixpad app. has anyone ever used these in a live situation.
i think if it does work, it would be a cheap option to give to a musician, who doesnt have a tablet, and let him use the SQ4you app.
