Thanks guys. I thought possibly that one sound guy may have been messing with gains, but it happened to my wife as well who knows her stuff. It’s really weird because routing and everything is normal. Now, it’s never happened to me personally, but I have been around when it does.
I know this is an old post. I also am on a gld 80 at our church. No Dante or anything like that. How exactly would you set up a bus for stereo recording? Just set up another bus like I use for In ears and make my mix there?
Thanks Chris. I am still new to this board and learning as I go. Took over sound because other guy jetted. How exactly would I go about this? I have watched all the videos from allen and heath but they are brief overviews. Need a more detailed video showing this perhaps. Thanks again.
Ok, I spent some more time and figured this out. The aux sends are being used for my IEM’s. I think the trouble I have been having is going from Analog where I see all the connections, knobs etc, to the virtual world. Man this helped out my monitor mixes for the musicians. Thanks again guys. Like I said, I have been thrown into this with absolutely no knowledge of this thing or how it worked. I now have a good grasp.
Guys, thanks so much. I spent a lot of time today with this board and found so much wrong with how it was set up and routed. I have a pretty firm grasp on this thing now. Watching vids asking questions etc. More questions to come I’m sure
I have been thinking that myself. It was set up this way when I took over. I have been in a learning curve with this board, and there is so much I am trying to figure out. If I ran mono I could have 12 mixes correct?
I will do that. Thanks for the help guys. Feel like I am light years behind but catching up quickly. Funny, I use logic for recording and that was super easy to learn. I think the whole layers thing is just throwing me off.
Yes, i under stand that, how do Ifigure out which xlr from the stage box, is connected to which xlr on the snake going in ab168. It,s a d snake I believe, so there are not individual wires to follow. Sorry if this seems trivial.
