I am in same boat… I own 3 iLives and 2 QU but can’t help feeling my iLive’s are eol. Now thinking about what is next and with the lack of feedback from A&H I too am exploring other brands.

I believe they are, I am going to dbl check that. They should be. Were bother updated same day.

I was thinking user too so I removed all users but one and removed password. Interesting it works on my laptop but not on my mac mini. They both seem to have the same OS and updates and version.

Well even though I have control over it, the noise floor is not so good jacking it up to get it where it belongs, I guess replacing it is the best option.

To be honest, this could have been this way for a while, it cam to light when C1 & C@ were set as a stereo channel. What I am more worried about is if this is a sign that other pre’s in that strip will follow. Is this typically isolated to the single preamp or the bank?

My issue seems to be more with out the pad…

C2 is 14db lower than C1 with no pad: Gain set at 20db and trim of 0db
C2 is 1db lower than C1 with pad: Gain set at -5db and trim of 0db

So far the others seem OK, I am more curious if I am likely to see this issue spread either in the same bank C1-8 or if likely isolated. Figures this would occur right before we deeply for a 2 week festival.

What issues did you have to identify a bad pre? I just did a show and had two channels in stereo mode and the left (B-1) was much lower (as in so low had to mono the channel for the show)… then in the shop I was able to replicate except now the right (B-2) is lower. Seems worse when the pad is engaged. About a 10 db diff with pad but only a 1db diff with out the pad.

Of course this is happening now as the iLives are supposed to go out for our biggest show yet (2 week festival).

I am not sure of this is a preamp or something else yet… Any suggestion or comments (until I can get A&H on phone)?

G-TOUR 20X25 fits.. I am going to add some foam to keep the mixer from tipping inside the case when on end.. there is little rooms around that I might fill on the sides too.

It sits deep, but with the hinged top of the case and the bottom vents it s just as easy to remove the mixer. But it does fit.

Once again the lack of this option forced a iLive off a show and required a sub rent… This feature has been requested for a while and would really give this system a feature that other rider friendly board offer (SC48/Midas) perhaps helping the rider acceptability.

Even if A&H charged for the upgrade option I would be interested…. I am not looking for free options, but would like to see continued improvements.

From A&H activity (or lack of) on forum and blogs I feel like iLive is already EOL… I am not saying it is because I would have no knowledge of this but seems really quiet. I was surprised to see GLD get features before iLive. I know my iLive cost me more then my GLD and was branded as the flagship of their digital mixers. Is this changing?
