I even tried removing that option. Was still the same. I thought that I was supposed to the the panning myself if I wanted them panned when you pan one, it would the other automatically but from what I experienced, the pan knob is useless since the odd channel is always left and the even always right no matter what. Not what I was expecting. I’ll check it again in the morning maybe I missed something.

I may have a workaround that may work for you depending when and how you use the talkback. Set your talkback to output on all mixes and un-mute them when needed. Not the perfect way but better than having to go back to the mixer.

I get it now. So you actually want to be able to change the routing of the talkback from the iPad. Makes sense

Having slept on it I can see the value, but can also see myself really screwing up – by leaving the channels grouped when I shouldn’t or accidentally ungrouping them.

The idea was to have them grouped just for that use (You’d see the Sel buttons lighted up for the chosen channels). They would ungroup when pressing another Sel.

My mixer is right in front of me and I can see the new presets. Make sure you’re in the factory library (presets with the red icon). I can see new ones for the PEQ, Channel, Comp and Gates.

Under the setup screen, audio tab, talkback sub tab. You choose the output there (Mix, LR, Grps and MTX). No need to put it in a channel first.

They get added when you install the new firmware. Pick a channal, processing screen and library. You should see some new stuff there.

, so we can use a radio mic as talkback without sacrificing a channel

I’ not sure I get your point here. The Qu have a dedicated talkback input so you`re not sacrifying a channel. Latch the talkback and use a wireless on the input. I don’t think adding audio stream to the wifi would be a good idea.

In another thread I pointed out that Fader Flip has no role in a channel, so it should just apply to whichever mix is selected at a given time – thus negating the “double button” aspect.

This is what I actually want. It would return you to the Sel of the master LR (like the mix buttons return you to the mix LR). Return to the last used channel was just an extra :). I just want a faster way to go back to the GEQ. So your idea of using the Fader Flip at anytime would be great and preferable over the “tap Sel” twice.

Sort of a temporary DCA (only with actual motorised movement rather than a digital delta?)
An interesting concept, one I’m not quite sure what the value is over a DCA – I suppose I could group the band and pull them all down as I raised the master fader???

Exactly that; a temp DCA. For the DCAs, you need to set them up. Don’t want to have to do that just for a quick use once in a while but I think I’d be quite happy if the DCA actually had motorized movement. I like to keep my master on unity so yes if I need to lower the whole band, I`d prefer to do it on the channel strips.

My guess is that it would be harder to use the width knobs on the SuperStrip without the help of the touch screen since you wouldn’t see when it “kicks” to shelving mode. That way you can have other information displayed while doing your EQ. I would find it confusing if I’m only relying on my ears to do the EQ when the shelving would kick in.

In your DAW, create 2 mono or 1 stereo track and set their inputs to CH17 and CH18 (Default setting) You can change the routing under the setup screen, Output patch tab and USB Audio sub tab on the Qu.

-While in the FX page, touching anywhere in the box should highlight that page. As of now, you have to touch an actual preset then scroll from there. It would be nice to be able to touch anywhere inside it’s box and have the first preset highlighted.

And to this one, I would add being able to scroll down the list using the sliders on the touchscreen
