Keith thank you for taking the time to reply. It is appreciated.
I will take the time to fully test FW 1.3.0 recording with my USB drive via SQ drive.
Thank you for the support and forum.
I am very much enjoying using the SQ5.

Tony2018/11/12 at 9:59 pm #80006Thank You very much Fabbabo!
I do have an older iPad2 as well as my newer Samsung (Android)
The Android Playstore only has the 1.3 version of the app.
I’ll give it a try, thanks again.2018/11/12 at 6:35 pm #80001Is it safe to downgrade from 1.3.0 back to 1.2.2?
I just got my SQ-5 and the only available mixpad app is version 1.3
hence I updated to 1.3.0 on the desk.
I have a show Dec 2nd that I was hoping to record.
So I have to decide do I want to record or use the mixpad app.
I suppose I’ll go back to 1.2.2 but I want to make sure it’s safe.
I remember trying a firmware downgrade on a presonus studiolive and
it bricked the mixer and I had to return it.
Thanks for reading.2018/05/23 at 7:53 pm #71249Great! Thanks again for the info regarding your recordings. That’s exactly what I wanted to know.
Regards, Tony2018/05/21 at 3:39 pm #71162Thanks to each of your for your response. Yann may I ask what mac you are using for your DAW recording to logic off the mixer?
I have a mac book pro mid 2012, 2.3 GHZ i7, 8GB Ram USB 3.0 ports. Should do the trick I would think. Again I am grateful for the
info. I will get the SQ then. 🙂2018/05/10 at 1:04 pm #70928Is anyone using an SQ-5 and getting good results with the SQ-Drive feature?
I would like some assurance that If I buy an SQ-5 that I will be able to record using the mixer.
I already have another mixer that supposedly records but does not work.
I would prefer to buy an SQ over the Qu series, I just need some advice.
Thanks.2018/05/03 at 8:29 pm #70788Kool thanks I did not know that. I am interested in buying an SQ-5. My good friend and I run sound for Bands in clubs and street parties. He has a QU-16 which he loves, me too by the way! He records using the Qu drive which works very well for him. My concern is if the SQ drive feature is as reliable. I saw just one or two posts about issues with SQ drive, and I was not sure if they were isolated incidents or not. it’s a tough question to ask. I just am not sure if i should buy an SQ or a QU series. I could wait if it’s a matter of the desk needing time to mature, I have seen that you made lots of nice updates to the QU series, bravo for that. I have been using a competitors desk, but it has had too many problems, so that’s going out the door. Thanks, Kind Regards, Tony
