Just picked up a QU-16 yesterday and I got to sit down with it today for the first time. Problems so far:
1. When hooked up USB to my macbook pro running 10.9.3 it will playback a song off of iTunes but eventually it makes noises over top of the song. It sounds like old Dial Up internet?
2. I downloaded A&H mix control and it won’t open.
3. On every manual and video I’ve looked at you can go Home> USBAudio. Mine doesn’t have USB Audio it says Qu-drive and I don’t have a Qu-Drive hooked up. When I click on Qu-Drive it just takes me to the Stereo/Multi Track pages. Where as if I could click on USB Audio and three pages would come up, CH Source, Stereo, and Multitrack.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the digital community!
1. What version of firmware is your Qu-16 running? We made some improvements in V1.4 including a fix for USB3.0 Mac computers. If you are running the latest version of firmware please contact our local distributor for support or submit a ticket to our UK Support team here.
2. After launching the DAW Control driver you should see a tray ‘A&H’ icon. Click on this icon to access the settings, and refer to the Setup Notes available from the download page for instructions.
3. Please download the latest User Guide from the Qu-16 product page. The Channel Source page has been relocated to the Processing / Preamp screen, accessed by the Fn key.
Hope this helps.

Still can’t get it to work with Logic. I tried both HUI and Mackie Conrol. I switched my custom layer to midi and there is data being transferred as the left box in DAW control is lighting up. What else could I be missing. Ive gone through what the user guide online says but still no DAW Conrol.
2014/06/30 at 8:36 pm #40456AnonymousInactiveHow do I change the streaming input. It goes into CH1 and CH2. I’d like for it to be ST3L and ST3R.
Is there anyone in Canada that would be a specialist on this kind of thing. Id really rather not call overseas or to the states if I can help it. Who’s the distributor of A&H in Canada?

The routing to the USB returns is dependent on your software application. OS X stereo output will default to the Qu Input channels 1 and 2 as you say. You can change this in the OS X preferences: go to Utilities / Audio MIDI Setup / Audio Devices, select the Qu mixer and click on Configure Speakers, then assign stereo Left and Right to the required interface output, for example ch 21&22 to play onto ST3 on Qu-16.
