I’m getting a problem with our SQ6 when recording getting “digital type noise”. The noise is not present through FOH or in the aux outputs only in the recording.

Recording via USB-B into a MacBook Pro (running macOS Sierra). Using the USB port on the right side of the MacBook (next to the HDMI port). Other ports in use are both mini display ports using dongles (one to HDMI and the other to ethernet)

here’s a clip of the type of sounds I get intermittently.

Is that out of the USB-B port and into a USB-3 (or 2) port on the MBP?
How many tracks are you recording simultaneously?
If you remove all of the all dongles does the MBP still record this noise?

Yip USB-B port into a USB 3 port on the MacBook (all the ports are usb3).

Only recording FOH – so one stereo track.

Haven’t tried removing the dongles as we need them in operation for the media screens but could try without them.
