Greetings everyone,
Newbie here. I am trying to setup my newly bought ZED 12FX with RCF Evox 8 speakers so my wife can sing. While the music sounded great to my ears, my wife complaint that it gave her a lot of effort comparing to when she sings at her friends’ home. Our microphone is an Earthworks SV33 which sounds excellent to our ears. Different between our and the friend is their mixer (yamaha mgp12ux) has the compression feature. They said compressor with turn off unwanted noise and make the singing effortless. I googled on this subject and others do not think compressor really help that much. I also heard how you dial/tune in is keys for easy singing without trying hard. I am hoping someone can help and suggest how do we improve on your vocal singing requirement. Thanks!
What you have is a very nice compact system! What does she mean by “effort”?
