I’m in a situation where there is a DM48 on stage and a C3500 for FoH mix.

Looking at using an SQ-6 side of stage for F/B, and I know that we will need a GigaACE card in the DM48, no issues there.

What I do need to know is, can the SQ-6 have master preamp control and the C3500 have trim?

Also, for gigs where the mixer footprint needs to be small, does the SQ-6 have preamp control as it’s listed as a supported SLink connection on the following document (the last one):
    https://www.allen-heath.com/media/SQ6_SLinkConnections_V1_1_0.pdf

    Thank-you.

    Hi frankle,

The SQ-6 cannot control the preamps of a dLive DM MixRack. It simply sends / receive audio to / from the dLive.

So to answer your other question, yes, when sending audio from an SQ to a dLive, the dLive can apply independent digital trim to these inputs.

    Hope this helps.

Is this something that “could” be done in the future with software updates?

It’s quite confusing when you’ve advertised a configuration on that PDF but you can’t control preamp gain from the console.

    Thanks!
