I recorded some song tracks to the USB drive an my Avantis and they are displayed and play back fine. This is the drive that stores my shows as well. If I transfer a .wav file, not recorded with the console, to the same USB drive and to the correct directory, the added tracks do not show up in the directory on the console. All files are the same resolution, etc. Anyone have a solution to this? At the moment, to play a track from a USB stick, it must have been recorded with the console. Thoughts? Ideas? What am I missing?

    Thanks!

Is it possible that your wav files might contain metadata that is confusing Avantis and needs to be removed?

Thanks for the response and I discovered there was no metadata in the files. Then I found the solution (thank you ChatGPT). The files must have sample rates of 44.1KHz or 48KHz, 16 or 32 bit to play back. I just exported the files from Audacity with the correct parameters and I’m up and running. I also seem to have missed this info on page 64 of the manual. Aargh! I hate when I do that!
