Our church site is moving and they want to reuse the system.
I am trying to find out what speakers are needed for it.
i believe currently they are 70V (hard to tell since no labels)is that correct?
Thanks for any help.

Speakers have nothing to do with the mixer.2024/09/10 at 12:56 am #125480Mike CParticipantWe would need WAY more information about the new location before anyone
could even make a reasonable guess at speaker suggestions.
Some pictures would also help.2024/09/11 at 8:36 pm #125551DremtimeParticipantI’ll get better measurements this weekend.
Kind of thrown into it.
But mixer is in another room. And will be setup to six speakers.
I estimate the wiring will be:
Speaker 1: 100 feet of wire from mixer, speaker 2: 200 feetfrom mixer, speaker 3: 300 Feet from mixer.
The other 3 speakers will be about same but the junction area the old church has will be 300 feet from mixer.
(So think 300, 500, 600 feet of wiring)My old church where it was from. I believe it is 1000 of feet of wire due to wiring was all under wood then up columns
Wish I had more info.2024/09/11 at 8:42 pm #125552DremtimeParticipantHere is all i have. Green is speaker location and yellow is where the mixer is.
i am thinking just non 70V speakers will work.Attachments:

What brand and model are in there now, I could not tell from the picture.
Those speakers look like they are pointed straight out, they need to be pointed
downward towards to where people are seated, new speakers would need to be as well.
Maybe your speakers just need re aimed! At the very least I would pair together the speaker lines from the the front, middle and back speakers. That way if needed delay could be added to the middle and back speaker sections.
Sometimes if the section coverage does not overlap too much you may not need delay.2024/09/12 at 1:38 pm #125587SQuserParticipant> Our church site is moving and they want to reuse the system.
What do you mean by “system”:
Just the mixer?
The amp(s) too?
Or maybe even the speakers?> i believe currently they are 70V (hard to tell since no labels)
At least the rearmost speakers seem to have a logo on them.> is that correct?
How should we know if that’s correct? 😉
It’s quite likely that 70V technology was installed.
You could tell by the amp(s), which you haven’t even mentioned yet.> i am thinking just non 70V speakers will work.
Why do you think that?
With these lengths of what are surely thin cables, 70 or 100V technology is certainly an option.I’m just still not quite sure what your specific question is.
If you really want to reuse the (possibly already old) technology, the amp is the key part to see which speakers would be suitable. And yes – perhaps in addition to what Mike already wrote:
If possible, run each speaker cable separately to the amps in order to have possible routing options (mono, stereo, delays). -
