Our QU-32 has started a new behavior, seemingly on its own. It is roughly 5 years old.
When on L/R mix and adjusting a channel fader, the fader will also adjust the fader on Mix 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. as well. The same happens in reverse. If you adjust a fader on Mix 1, it will adjust the others as well. Adjustments to some faders on the physical console will result in changes to all mixes.
Before you assume a setting issue…this is new behavior that does not appear to be linked to any setting change. It was initially was a single channel which we avoided using as there was no way to separate a L/R house mix from a monitor mix, etc. Then, it became 2 channels, now 6 channels all within the same subsection of the board, almost as if it is a processor of some sort. Today, that expanded to a 7th channel outside the problematic subsection of the board.
Our current work around is to utilize the IPad to adjust a fader. When you do, the issue does NOT present itself. It only occurs when you use the fader on the physical console. Are we looking at a potential board failure of some sort here given it is happening to several channels now?
Thank you for your ideas! Great week for this to be happening!
