Any idea of a timeframe for the offline editor? I’m currently out on tour and getting some very funny looks bringing the SQ into my hotel room to make changes. 🙂
2018/10/08 at 7:50 pm #79005TomParticipantin fact I have a gld with broken dislay … and the sq6 is far away from the gld carettistics. it would not be bad to have at least the editor for the work I have to do with the new but limited sq6 !!
waiting for the warranty service to repair it2018/10/09 at 10:28 am #79016KeithJ A&HModeratorHi LongWelsh,
The editor for SQ is a large project that is a long way off.
In the meantime, we are looking at adding some offline functionality to SQ-MixPad to allow setup away from the console. Thanks,

this feature sounds great! Preparing a scene on a tablet would be perfect for the touring engineer… I was hoping it comes with 1.3. 😉

Can we get some more info about this topic?
We’re getting a lot of traffic over at the ProSoundWeb forums.
We’d be interested in when, and what offline capabilities the iPad app might have.
Thanks!

Some offline functionality for the SQ-MixPad app would definitely be helpful. But regarding the full offline editor, any chance we can get some definition of “long way off”, as in, next 6 months, or next 12 months etc? If not, I understand, but figure it can’t hurt to ask.
Thanks for all you and the A&H team do!
2018/12/07 at 10:35 am #80637KeithJ A&HModeratorThe reason we avoid giving ETA’s on firmware of software is because they are always subject to development and test time, so I cannot give a definition, but obviously this is quite a large undertaking.
Hence the decision to look at adding the offline functionality to the app, to give everyone the main things they’re after sooner rather than later!Cheers,
Keith.2018/12/07 at 5:29 pm #80650OrionXParticipantThank you for the reply! I definitely understand the hesitation. I’m pulling the trigger on a new SQ-7 with DX168 stage boxes early next week, so I am glad to see some offline functionality heading to the app soon.
Again, thanks for all you and the A&H team do!
Cheers,
Alex K.

There are still a few thing issues stopping myself from upgrading to an SQ2019/05/15 at 5:44 am #83848Drew-DiabloParticipantI wish there were something. A big part of my market is theatrical and at this point I’m watching my customers actively look elsewhere due to the missing editor. I had one choose a used O1V96i over the SQ5 because they could get an offline editor.
2019/05/15 at 8:12 am #83851KeithJ A&HModerator@nzdave – agreed, it would be awesome if we could do it instantly! but 5months < 6months < 1year. The point I was making is that adding offline to the app is taking less time than creating an editor from scratch.
It’s coming, but as with every release, it takes time to build and time to test.
Cheers,
Keith.2019/05/18 at 10:39 pm #83902Søren SteinmetzParticipantAs long as it means we get the editor for desktop OS’es 😉
2019/05/29 at 2:03 pm #84073RyanParticipantIt looks like the wait is over, at least for Windows users! https://www.allen-heath.com/sq-v1-4/#downloads
