    If you need metering, use a group instead of a DCA. It’s really that simple.

    As mentioned 100 times in this thread, you can’t meter a signal that doesn’t exist. DCAs don’t pass any audio and therefore there is nothing to meter. Any company that provides “metering” on their DCAs is actually metering something else.

    But as mentioned already too, if you PFL a DCA you hear what’s happening in the DCA. So, it doesn’t seem hard to have what you hear replicated in a moving LED signal.
    So, if I can hear it, it exists, no? Am I wrong?

    According to Keith, when you PAFL a DCA it actually uses the additive PAFL functionality to temporarily ‘mix’ the members of the DCA”. (https://community.allen-heath.com/forums/topic/pafl-dca) You are hearing the PAFL buss, not the actual DCA (because the DCA doesn’t actually pass audio) and therefore this doesn’t point to some “back door” method to meter DCAs.
