I think it would be very useful to be able to change the mode of each effect in FX rack from stereo to dual mono to be able to use the same effect on two different mono channels with different settings.

    espacially for deEsser.
Some brand’s can implement the desser in the channelstrip and use this rocissing power, available in the channel, to get as many deEssers as channels.

A&H SQ needs the processing power of ONE WHOLE FX-Slot to compute an DeEsser… =(
And when inserted into a mono channel… it’s whole FX Slot for a Mono DeEsser.

    @ Keith:
    What’s the idea behind it?
I can use best Quality dynamics in the channelstrip – but the DeEsser need’s to be insertet via an FX-Slot – did’nt get the sense..

A possibility that has already been mentioned for the de-esser would be that we have the possibility to choose between gate and de-esser on a channel.
This would probably limit CPU usage and we could have it on all tracks ?

    Cheers

or the gate/de-esser option, as the some Vi desks have.

i do understand some restrictions to keep the dLive interesting, but this really is a bummer. i also don’t intent to invest in any FX soon because of this.
