I have all of the DEEP graphic EQs. I was surprised to find no obvious way to insert one in a channel. My application is chorus and theatrical area mics. 4 bands doesn’t cut it on a PCC floor mic in a difficult hall. I could give each one its own group, but with only 12 total groups and auxes, that’s a huge waste of a precious resource.
I’d be perfectly happy to see all the DEEP plugins listed in the preamp DEEP slot. Less useful in the compressor slot, because I still want a compressor. Best if they showed up in the insert slot, obviously, but that might be more difficult architecturally.
Of course, what I would really like is an insertable parametric with more narrow Q available in the insert slot, but that’s pretty much asking for the moon.
