Controlling Tempo from GLD112

Hi,

I’m looking at a way of filling in rhythm on live performances when we are “short” of drummers and bass players.

The issue is that the live members of the band want to be in control of tempo, and thus I want to be able to adjust the tempo of the rhythm track to follow them, rather than it being controlled by the “machine”.

Is there a way of using the midi controller features of the GLD to control the midi clock, or to otherwise adjust tempo on GarageBand or Logic?

Where is the track played from? Would it be easier to give the band a midi foot pedal on stage to do this themselves?
