Please make it possible to assign an IP1 encoder to be a touch and turn knob. For those of us who work with touchscreens and IP devices instead of surfaces, it would speed things up a lot.
TBH, the IP1 is a remote control device, how should that work as a touch and turn control?
Touch and turn needs a surface instance to work that supports it.
The surface that the IP1 is connected to is the surface with the touch and turn knob.
But the idea was a surface less system. So a Director instance would be the surface.
But since the IP1 would control the system directly, there is no touch and turn functionality associated with it.
The intention of the IP1 is to control the system, not the surface.
Seems like this would be possible if the IP controller connected to Director like @SteffenR said. Director would have to have some sort of object (it might not even need to be a visible knob in the UI) that acted like the Touch and Turn knob on a physical surface which could be mapped to the IP1.
+1 – This would be fantastic, I’m always covering the values with my finger on director wing touch screens. To be able to accurately pan sends to an Aux would be great. Even if it was midi controllable using something like a streamdeck or any other midi controller knob that would be amazing.
