You know I’d never been able to test this on a MAC using cubase but works great on PC. Being it’s just a DEVICE the map may actually work just fine in mac. This works better than the DAW control they have IMO. Even the PC users that have downloaded it like better than the DAW control from Allen and Heath. One downfall though is it was written for the QU24 so it’s missing some if you have the 32 but they’re easy to add if you just follow the instructional video they have, He gives you the basic concept of setting it up.

I use cubase. Which I actually created my own DAW control for it which you can get for free from deepfriedbeatsdotcom. Theres a youtube video that I walk through showing people how I set it up. check it out. If you search QU DAW CONTROL on youtube it should be the second video that pulls up probably. Sorry about that, Well in cubase I set it to NOTE ON, So Guessing it would send a NOTE OFF on toggle? As for hex code that its sending i’m not 100% sure because I don’t have it set up that way. But I’m actually going to have a little bit of time tomorrow to sit down. I’m going to download a utility to try and figure out what CODE it’s sending through.

So updated the firmware with no success on getting this issue resolved. And what it does is when I hit mute in cubase it transmits to the mute on the mixer and turns the light on , But again can’t get it to go off once the light comes on during the first go around.

I am one firmware behind, I’ll load up the latest and see if that fixes it. And yes I did. Same way I have the faders set to to receive the transmit from my DAW. That being Cubase Pro 8.5. It’s weird the first time I hit it the light pops on, But after that no matter if I mute unmute it’s always on from that point forward. LOL. again I just do a hard shutdown so the mixer doesn’t save the settings. Ok will try that update and see what happens. BBIAB to give you the outcome.

Well I’ve got the mutes working correctly. It’s the MUTE LED lights I was having the issue with. I sent a transmit back to the board from the mute key and basically what happened was I hit Mute, It muted the channel. The red mute light came on as I was hoping it would, But the problem is on the unmute. Which it unmutes the channel just find. The board just isn’t receiving a transmission from the DAW to turn the LED LIGHT OFF. So it just stays on. After that happened I couldn’t turn on the red light. I had to basically do a hard shutdown so it wouldn’t SAVE the mix with the LED LIGHTS on. Make more sense? basically mute works perfectly. It’s just the LED LIGHTS that are giving the problem. once the DAW turns them on I can’t turn them off.

So I finally decided to sit down after a year and half of owning this thing and decided to setup my DAW CONTROL via windows 8.1. Wow I wish I’d set this up sooner. This is tight. Although I did not get the PAN working for each separate channel. Has anyone got this working? I’ll continue to test when I get a chance, But to those of you who didn’t think it could be done. Well here is the proof that it can be done. Love the way the faders follow the automation within Cubase. Check out my video below.

Thank you so much LKY totally cool of you to offer, Think I got it all straightened out. Hooked up my mac today to the qu24 and all was well. It was the USB ports on the other laptop. Going to Purchase an I7 quadcore Desktop soon, So if I have any problem i’ll at least be able to swap out the USB card. But I don’t see myself having a problem with any new PC. Thank you so much for replying kind sir. Loving this board. Today I spent a good chunk of the day learning it. Very easy.

I think I may have found the culprit, Won’t know until I test it on another computer.Pretty sure its a Asynchronous communication problem. Have a mac here I’m going to try it on. and if it works I’ll be picking up an I7 asap.
