Now I don’t understand what you mean.
I just wanted to find out whether your SHOW0001 would gets corrupted in the SQ yet – even after a restart – or whether it only gets corrupted when it’s connected to your or another Windows PC.Or maybe your description missed the step that i have to shut down the SQ after the recording and overwriting it several times and then switch it back on again before removing the USB stick to plug it into the Windows PC?
2024/06/17 at 3:57 pm #123160TobiParticipantSQ overwrites Data in the File allocation Tablet, i assume. But ehen SQ itself Caches that Data, you have to make Sure, those Caches needs to be rebuild.
If Windows cannot ready the File structure,IT is damaged. If SQ still can ready that, IT only would mean, that ready and wrote calls in SQ have the Same Bug.
I will try, If my SQ can ready the damaged directory.
Only Idea I have, why it may work for you… Did you make recording and overwriting in random Order? Means: 2 rec, one ove, then 1 rec, 3ovr,…?

It was probably your wording.
I did it in a random order (sometimes starting with recording and sometimes overwriting), but not with a random number of recordings/overwritings.
I have now done that and although I did not get a corrupt SHOW0001, I obviously got another corrupt folder!
This was evident in the fact that no more shows were displayed on the console and even formatting was impossible because the system had somehow got stuck in stereo recording mode.
I could arm a stereo recording, but could not start it.
When plugged into the PC, I did not notice anything about the folders.
I tried to delete all, but the USBREC folder could no longer be deleted – so it was somehow corrupt.
It was only after using the Windows error check and correcting it that I could delete the folder and then format the USB stick in the SQ again.
According to this, I had created another problem with the data structure, which made the USB stick completely unusable for the work on the SQ. (2024/06/18 at 6:15 am #123185TobiParticipantJust to be sure before I start partying — you could reproduce the problem?
2024/06/18 at 1:25 pm #123198SQuserParticipantNo, unfortunately not yet.
That’s why I would be happy if A&H not only enjoyed reading about how we rack our brains and sacrifice time and nerves, but also actively participated in their problem.@Tobi
Couldn’t you perhaps create a short cell phone video where you show exactly the individual steps that reproducibly cause a folder to be destroyed?
Using a random order always gives the feeling that you are not doing exactly what is causing the error.
Have you perhaps already used the “Setup – Mixer Config – Role – Reset Mix Settings – Standard” function in connection with the troubleshooting?@A&H
What findings or assumptions are there about the problem that Tobi submitted several months ago and what can already be ruled out?
What else could users try to narrow down the problem even further and reproduce it?
And is the problem known that a (stereo) recording can be armed but not started and in this state it is no longer possible to access shows?2024/06/18 at 1:36 pm #123199TobiParticipant| No, unfortunately not yet.
What a pitty. I understiood, you ran into similar Problems concerning damaged File system.
My Feeling A&h wont answer this as Long as I am the only one having it.
Best Regards.

Yes, I had a similar one – as I described.
It feeled even worse because I no longer had any access to the stick: no recording – no shows etc.
But I can’t reproduce the same thing again.
That’s why I think it’s important to show a precise order of steps and not a random one (see below).
Perhaps it could be important what you do last: Record once or more or overwrite once or more.> My Feeling A&h wont answer this as Long as I am the only one having it.
But you’re not the onyl one.> Couldn’t you perhaps create a short cell phone video where you show exactly the individual steps that reproducibly cause a folder to be destroyed?

As you asked correctly… What else could Users do?
