I think the OP is referring to Digico’s “Nodal Processing” which is available on their Quantum Q225 and Q338 consoles. There is a limited amount of Nodal processing available (32 processors on Q225 and 64 on Q338), but it is a pretty unique and desirable feature.
It should be noted that Nodal processors are placed on the sends, not the inputs. This means if you want to process a specific channel (lead vocal for example) differently for several different IEM mixes, you will use multiple Nodal processors. Having 32 processors doesn’t mean you can mix 32 inputs differently, it means you have 32 instances that you can process something differently.
