Hi skippy, these are some minor fixes, primarily this was to fix an issue where Qu-Pad prevents the mixer’s outputs from being delayed by more than 85ms, as mentioned in the v1.80 Release Notes here: https://www.allen-heath.com/media/Release-Notes-Qu-firmware-V1.80.pdf
Qu-Pad 1.81 will work with firmware v1.80, though there will be a maintenance firmware update released shortly which will improve some minor issues in the mixer itself.
As with all Qu firmware updates as long as the first number after the decimal matches in both mixer firmware and Qu-Pad versions they will be compatible.
Always wise to ask though. 🙂
