Just wondering if it would at all be possible to control over midi (through a USB converter) with the Morningstar Controllers. I would just like to run some mute groups and maybe mute effects with a foot pedal. Any other ideas on how to do this simply? If I could only have 2 mute groups I’d be pretty happy with that even.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Nate,

I’ve not tested these controllers myself but after a quick look through the specs, it looks like they could work well for this. You would not be able to connect this directly to the Qu however, so you would need to use a host. This can be a computer or a BomeBox if you want a compact solution (https://www.bome.com/products/bomebox).

    Thanks!

Here is another company that makes contact closure to MIDI converters.
You would need to supply the foot switch though.

I looked at them for a possible install project but then the install
    never happened.

Are you able to control mute groups easily with midi controllers? If that is not easily done it isn’t worth the investment into all the midi pieces to me.
