What determines the playback of multitracks in Qu Drive. Why can’t I download a multitrack from the Internet and run it? How does the mixer determine? After all, it’s just a folder with TRK01.wav, TRK02.wav… TRK18.wav

Qu-Drive is designed to playback recordings that have been made using the Qu, but it is possible to playback other recordings as long as the Qu thinks they were recorded on the Qu.
The important points to note are –

    • 18x mono 48kHz 24bit files
    • All files exactly the same size/length
    • Naming of files and folder structure should match that of a recording made on the Qu (just make a quick blank recording then copy what you see on the drive)
    • No meta data

    There is a guide for re-rendering multitracks for SQ-Drive here – https://support.allen-heath.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4402940122001-SQ-Re-Rendering-Files-for-SQ-Drive-Multitrack-Playback
Although it’s for SQ, you can use the same process just taking into account the points above.

    Thanks,
    Keith.
