    Hi,

Good morning to every one. I’m new on that forum, and I will start with a short presentation. French, 70 years old, guitar player in a band, and recent owner of a Qu-16 (previous one was A&H WZ 16-2).

I would like to keep the Channels and Mix naming (and DCA, Softkeys names too) I gave to a band in a scene. I have two bands, with different naming fro channels and mix. If i change the scene, i would like to recover the associated names for each band. I tried to Block/allow filter in the scene, to Allow/block in the global filter, but the naming is not following the scene. Scene 1 has a naming which I stored in the scene with the “Store” command. I setup a scene 2 with another naming for cannel and mix, store in scene 2 with the “store” command, but when i’m back at scene 1 (recall command), the channel and mix names are those of the scene 2. I’m certainly doing something wrong, but please, could you help me ? Are there special parameters to allow/block in the scene filter, or in the global filter. I red 20 times the manual (in Eng and in Fr), I tried many times with different filters parameters, but still have “dark zones”… Thanks for helping.

There is a SAFE function page as part of the scene recall menus where each channel and mix can be set not to change with a scene recall.

To make it very easy: for what you’re trying to do you don’t need to use any of the “safe” options. That’s how I do it and it works perfectly fine 👌

    Hello my Friends,

Is there one of you who can briefly (or deeply I would prefer) explain how to procee ?? I have a gig next saturday (I’m selected to be the the “sound engineer” for that event, what a nice promotion…) with 3 bands and would like to prepare 3 scenes with the right naming for each bandn channels and mix (as the groupe members are not equaly the same).

    Answer to Mike C.Thanks Mike.
That’s the opposite I would like to get: Each scene with proper and appropriate naming (Channel and Mix) for each band. Example: scene 1: Mix 1 is Bernard, Mix 2 is Paul, scene 2 Mix 1 is Mike, Mix 2 is Helen, etc…. And the same for each channel. Scene 1 Ch 10 is Keyboard (named KYBD), and scene 2 Ch 10 is acoustic guitar (named ACOUS Guit)..

You do not want anything “safed” or “blocked” There are two ways to block a function, one is a global menu and the other is on a per scene selection, check both of them.
When a function is blocked it will show as red on the menu.

    Hi,
Still spent two hours to try to get that functionality, and it doesn’t work. I set up scene 1 with “Bernard” as Mix 1 name and “Jimi” as Mix 2 name. I stored the scene 1 (“store” button). I set up a scene 2 with “John” as Mix 1 name and “Mike” as Mix 2 name. I stored the scene 2. When I recall scene 1, Mix 1 is still “John” and Mix 2 is “Mike”. Is there any filter mistake in my set up? All filters (scene and global) are set to “allow”. Or do I make a wrong procedure ? And, in addition, Mix names are not “seen” in the Qu-Pad App. It remains at “Mix1”, “Mix 2” naming etc… No recovery of Qu-16 Mix naming in Qu-Pad. Any idea….??
